Structured Weight Loss For Young Adults

Achieving and maintaining a healthy lifestyle can be challenging at any age—but for young adults it can be especially difficult. From adolescence into the early 30s, many young adults experience major life transitions that can make it difficult to effectively navigate today’s food environment and to consistently engage in behaviors that support optimal health. By interrupting unhealthy eating patterns and learning effective coping strategies, young adults can build the foundation for a lifetime of healthy behaviors.

Our approach goes beyond simply achieving a healthy weight and addresses the underlying reasons that may drive overeating and unhealthy behaviors. We focus on creating lasting change, and our specialists are dedicated to providing personalized care in a supportive, compassionate environment. Structure House can help young adults, ages 18 through their 20s to:

  • Develop a healthy, flexible relationship with food that will stay with them for a lifetime
  • Navigate stress and difficult relationships
  • Promote mindfulness to help them eat and live with intention
  • Cultivate a healthy body image and sense of self
  • Discover physical activities that are enjoyable and improve overall fitness
  • Effectively manage time to support a healthy lifestyle
  • Connect with other young adults in a safe, supportive, non-judgmental community

Structure House provides treatment that integrates scientifically-supported principles of nutrition, fitness, and psychology that helps participants adopt new behaviors that will contribute to a healthier and more satisfying way of living. In addition to our core residential program [link here] we offer a DayStructureSM treatment option for young adults who live or attend school locally. DayStructureSM is a commuter-based program in which participants receive the same level of care as the core residential program, but they simply return to their homes each night.

At Structure House, we know that a one-size-fits-all approach to weight management is not effective. We are committed to offering individualized treatment planning that reflects the diverse needs of each one of our participants. If participants wish to augment our standard programming with additional treatments to meet their individual goals, we offer the following services for an additional fee:

  • The Bridge Program, which is an add-on program designed to support those who would like additional help dealing with binge eating or emotional overeating
  • The Diabetes Program, which is designed for those newly diagnosed with diabetes, pre-diabetic conditions, or those who have been dealing with Type I or Type II Diabetes for some time but would like to achieve better control over their condition
  • Individual therapy sessions
  • Personal training sessions
  • Nutrition counseling sessions
  • Massage Sessions
